These glasses have a special tint that helps to reduce glare and the intensity of the light produced by the average computer monitor, and a special UV coating that blocks UV rays produced by monitors and flourescent lighting. The glasses also have a slight correction (+0.75), similar to reading glasses, that helps the eyes to easily focus on the computer screen without undue strain.
